Wrong, wrong, wrong!
Maybe it’s because I ‘grew up’ in the entertainment business, but I believe that good messaging is absolutely vital to the success of a nonprofit. Unfortunately, often it’s terribly overlooked.
If you can’t describe in one or two memorable sentences what your organization does and why it’s important, you won’t get press, your grant proposals will be a big, hot mess, and you will miss huge fundraising opportunities.
This is a leadership issue at its core.
